HOLMDEL, NJ (Dec. 11, 2017) – Hummingbird Sports, a leading brand in girls lacrosse, is partnering with Monmouth County-based All Lax, owned by USA Women’s National Lacrosse team member and former Maryland University All-American Megan Douty, and former Monmouth University standout Alex Marino.

The partnership between All Lax and Hummingbird Sports will focus on creation of a community to encourage female athletes to pursue their dreams, achieve their full potential, and to strive for greatness. Together, the companies are committed to raising awareness of key topics facing girls lacrosse. These include promoting safety by incorporating protective headgear into girls and women’s lacrosse.

All Lax also will be working with Hummingbird Sports on development of new product and equipment lines.

“We’re thrilled to have this opportunity to increase attention on females in sports, especially women's lacrosse,” says Douty. “As a lacrosse player myself, I’m dedicated to doing whatever I can to protect the girls who may look up to me as a role model and I am excited for the opportunity to help develop products specifically for the female athlete.”

Marino notes: “As technology progresses and female athletes are focusing on sports performance at a younger age, our sport has seen an increase in speed, which creates a higher risk for injury. Megan and I are so excited to be a part of Hummingbird's vision in creating products that put the female athlete first."

In coming months, Hummingbird Sports and All Lax will develop content featuring Douty and Marino to provide female athletes with advice on nutrition, fitness, and lacrosse-specific techniques.

“Hummingbird Sports is proud to partner with two women who are passionate about ensuring that girls are as safe as possible on the field,” says Rob Stolker, founder of Hummingbird Sports. “We’re excited about this partnership, and anticipate multiple benefits for all involved.”
