The First Woman Marathon Runner

Take a moment to get inspired by the determination of Kathrine Switzer, the first numbered woman racer in the Boston Marathon. Before she raced women were considered too delicate to complete an entire marathon and were prohibited from competing.

Kathrine's completing the race despite cultural and, in one instance, physical barriers still inspires us to continue to not let our abilities to be defined by others.
